The lobbyists and operatives for coal are just as connected as any of the others. It's all a big clique and she's part of it. Even if she could triangulate something resembling progress, it wouldn't be without a very steep price. Who would pay that price? You. Me. The middle class, the poor and the powerless.

Theoretically, she could get a few things through but it would be transactional and dirty, and not necessarily for the little guy. You can always be sure that results would benefit her and her friends first. That's the problem, she's a great fighter but she is not very loyal or trustworthy to those of us that won't have anything to offer. Even if we had a place at the table, we don't have anything to bring to it. Without trust, what is there?

Which reminds me -- we have supposedly pulled her to the left. Why on earth would anyone believe she would stay there?

It boggles my mind.

It's not pragmatic to make progress. But we can ram through the TPP and TIPP and lobbyists know what else: because Clinton likes to get things done. Wall Street could benefit a lot and maybe, just maybe, some of that will trickle down on hoi polloi...
