Tampa, FL - Today, the Democratic Progressive Caucus of Florida (DPCF) announced its endorsement of Bernie Sanders for President in the 2016 race for the Democratic Party's nomination. Sanders earned the endorsement after receiving a supermajority of the membership's vote.
Statement from Susan Smith, Democratic Progressive Caucus of Florida's President, on today's endorsement of Bernie Sanders for President:
"Throughout his political career as well as his presidential campaign, Bernie Sanders has proven to be a bold progressive who is ready to fight for the values that DPCF members hold dear. Like our membership, Bernie views the problems of income inequality, institutional racism and money in politics as structural issues that must be addressed for real change to occur.
With today's endorsement, the DPCF is joining Bernie's political revolution by working to win the presidency as well as down-ballot races throughout Florida in 2016.
We are committed to running a 100% positive campaign in support of Bernie Sanders, and when the primary race is over, we will work our hardest to be sure that the Democratic nominee wins the White House in November."
The Democratic Progressive Caucus of Florida is a chartered caucus of the Florida Democratic Party.

(10,495 posts)We do not buy your BS excuse that everyone would have to release their transcripts before you release yours. Trust is a big problem with you so here is your opportunity to prove that you did chastise them as you say you did!

(15,435 posts)Alan Grayson. It has a lot of information about his "Hedge Fund" scandal, that seems isn't a scandal. I'll try to post it, but I KNOW I've seen many attacks about him here at DU. I didn't research it much and thought maybe he went a bit too far, but I'm beginning to think that he's been the target of a lot of smears from those that have attacked our Progressive Caucuses. It didn't take the State Party long to mound their attack for anyone NOT agreeing with the RIGHT leaning Democrats in Tallahassee!
Not good at posting this kind of stuff or I would have already posted MY email about Bernie winning.
Anyway, the article should be read and others can decide what they think.

(5,668 posts)are most telling. Rather disappointed she's still Race Baiting Just no way she's winning in November with all these insane word punches she's putting out. Republicans will have a field day. Be John Kerry 2004 all over again.

(15,435 posts)Called the Democratic Progressive Caucus Of Florida (DPCF)
Here's what Section 1 of the Governing Bylaws state:
The purpose of the chapters shall be the same as this caucus, which is to strengthen and maintain a relationship between the progressive community and the Democratic Party, and to promote the continued development and growth of core progressive ideas and principles within the Democratic Party. The caucus may charter local chapters for the purpose of carrying out this purpose and they shall exist solely for that reason.
So it's not THE State Democratic Party... They have fought against us and even tried to basically quash the Chapters. Which they have been unable to do so far.
There are pages of rules and what we support and we pay a $25 yearly dues.
I would LOVE it if it was the State, but WE are fighting to have more of a voice here in Florida.

(15,435 posts)them yesterday! I thought this would be the outcome because most of my group are supporting Bernie, BUT we did have to pledge to support the nominee no matter what! But just having this Caucus formed in the state of Florida and especially a group in my area is YYUUUUUGE! Bernie seems to be very popular here even if I'm biased, but I have seen more Bernie bumper stickers than Hillary. Actually don't think I've ever seen any Hillary ones. That doesn't mean there aren't any, but I'm always looking for ANY bumper stickers.
Loving it... And so happy
