A bird in hand...

Democrats have created a " is a bird in hand is worth more than two in the bush?" decision making scenario with our current selection of candidates.
Compromises and Democratic Centerism has created the situation we are in, i.e. a massive teapublican majority in the House and a slight one in the Senate. It is very hard to make the case that four more years of it is going to finally tip the electorate in our favor and help us win mid-term elections and gain back seats.

So which is it?
Bold agenda to inspire and motivate the electorate-bird in hand(real and possible right now-4+ million donations say so)?
Hold out for a Congress to come along to support that type of agenda-two in the bush(no evidence to support that since we have no idea what president or Congress we may get and there isn't even a path to flip the House until 2020 or 2022 at the earliest)?
