"She championed NAFTA -- even though it has cost South Carolina thousands of jobs. And worst of all, it was Hillary Clinton who voted for George Bush's war in Iraq," an announcer says in the new radio spot.
"She'll say anything, and change nothing. It's time to turn the page,"
Has she changed since he said this?

Thanks Go Vols for this audio of the ad: http://origin.factcheck.org/Images/image/2008/Articles/January/2008.01.24PeasinPod/obamaradioadresponse.mp3
Edit- I removed the offending Newsmax link. The question still remains, has she changed since the comments by Obama.

Give the OP credit for a wildly misleading title.

(6,960 posts)And here is Obama highlighting Hillary's flip-flops and "say anything" behavior in 2008:
And just saw this weird Hillary ramble ... I'd forgotten about it.
Not just the Kennedy assassination stuff, but her rejecting what the Hillarians today are calling for: a quick end to the nomination contest.

(8,175 posts)Clinton is using the exact same words to try to deflect the exact same questions this round as she did in 2008. She either thinks it worked then (look who is President now) or she does not learn from her own mistakes. I think it's the latter, because she doesn't learn from her mistakes in foreign policy.
That first clip is very eye-opening.
which feeds into a pattern by the Clintons of misrepresenting comments he made in an editorial board meeting in Reno, Nev., about Republicans.
She did this with Obama and continues to do it today with Bernie. She has no shame or integrity. Maybe it's because she knows she can't fight fair...it's all she's got.

(16,916 posts)Basic syllogism...
Major premise:
Attack ads are shit slinging and not to be believed
Minor Premise:
Obama ran--and approved--an attack ad against Hillary
conclusion:
Therefore, Obama was shit slinging and not to be believed
If you don't like the logic, blame Aristotle, not me.

(47,803 posts)I'm pretty sure he would have picked someone with more qualifications and focus on foreign policy.

(9,748 posts)Special Envoy to the Middle East as well as ambassadors to Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq reported to White House personnel while she ran State. They all report to Kerry today.
Clearly, he either did not think she was qualified or did not trust her. I would go with the latter. White House at least twice had to distance itself from statements she made while at State. And she has been heavily critical of Obama since leaving State.

(9,748 posts)I don't even think Stevens was a real ambassador.
1. We take Ambassadors *out* of civil wars. We do not put them in.
2. Ambassadors do not have CIA hired guards.
3. Ambassadors do not visit CIA offices.
But, hey, Stevens really was an ambassador and not secretly a CIA operative. {wink, wink}

(614 posts)call west a loose cannon all you like, peeps, but i don't happen to feel that someone who can be counted on for CONSTANCY in their integrity, character, and demand for moral action is in anyway loose.
a cannon, maybe; as in cannon for character!
passiveporcupine
(8,175 posts)But the WAPO did. And in the same article that called all his famous supporters who campaigned for him surrogates, they mention Hillary's famous supporters campaigning for here and don't call them surrogates.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2016/01/24/ben-and-jerry-killer-mike-and-a-few-politicians-to-serve-as-bernie-sanders-surrogates-in-iowa/
What I don't know is if these people all volunteered to campaign for free for Sanders, or did they get paid for it? If they got paid for it, I suspect 'surrogate' might be accurate. If they did it for free, then we (Sander's supporters) are all his surrogates. Wear it proudly!

(614 posts)why is it when simple facts and evidence about HRC are presented, you guys call that 'tearing her down?
this is such a pattern here - not with you but the generic H-bots - one can hardly avoid noting how much it lacks in real substantive debate.
now, if you have something of substance to say in response, something that refutes the point or suggests the interpretation might be in error, then great! we can debate these things.
but to whine constantly that HRC is being torn down, etc. ~ this is just not worthy of the enterprise of democracy.
now, i'll be willing to bet that your knee-jerk reaction to all this would be, 'the bernie-bots do it all the time'. if so, you've simply made my point.
please stop so we can shift to having civilized discussions.
thank you in advance.

(614 posts)is not the same thing as scrutinizing the source.
there is no reason on god's green earth to trust anything coming from newsmax.
now, you may well have credible info here, replete with A/V.
if so, may i humbly recommend you go directly to the sources in the future, by-passing newsmax, and avoiding all of us thinking souls who just dismiss this stuff out of hand as likely from a RWN troll.
now, i'd like to believe that epithet does not truly apply to you. but you have to make sure your appearances match your reality.
kind of like not wearing your jammies to your buddy's dinner party. or sweats to the opera.

Please let us know all the sites you don't like, rather than shooting people down post by post, playing "gotcha."
Thank you.
but the likes of newsmax, worldnetdaily, breitbart, etc., should be as self-evident as fox news.
please don't bother checking on my account. this is homework you should do on your own for your own benefit. it's just simple source scrutiny. sort of like making the distinction between the doctor and the pusher telling you the pill in their hand is good for you.
i bothered to post the suggestion so you don't continue to humiliate yourself here. otherwise you'll just be ignored.
i sincerely do not intend this to be mean, but simply informative.

(598 posts)Theres a big difference between us speeches versus solutions, talk versus action, Clinton said, also in the make-or-break month of February 2008. Speeches dont put food on the table. Speeches dont fill up your tank, or fill your prescription, or do anything about that stack of bills that keeps you up at night.
