Gillum campaigns for Clinton in South Carolina

Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum is going all-in for Hillary Clinton and her campaign for president.

Gillum endorsed the former first lady, New York senator and secretary of state on Tuesday. And he plans to campaign for her in South Carolina later this week in the run up to Saturday's Democratic primary.

"Hillary Clinton has put forward an agenda focused on moving our nation forward — and building on the tremendous progress made by President Obama," Gillum said in a written release. "Her experience and legacy of leadership speak to the kind of purpose-driven president she will be and the kind of commander in chief the American people deserve."

Gillum will travel Thursday to Columbia, South Carolina, to talk with voters about her agenda "to move our nation forward and build on President Obama's progress," an official with Clinton's campaign in Florida said.

Glad to see it has an African American mayor. It has always been a forward looking city.
