Down in the polls and desperate for a win on Super Tuesday, the Bernie Sanders campaign has decided that their best hope for upending Clinton in March is by going on the attack against her.
CNN is reporting that Sanders in a stump speech in Minnesota at this hour, is attacking Clinton on a decision not to release her wall street transcripts to the public, a tactic that he hopes will provide some leverage to his campaign just days from super Tuesday when 11 states will go to the polls. Even more disturbing is a report that a coalition of Sanders-aligned Progressives are fully supporting a number of GOP ads that are airing which are hitting Clinton on her decision not to release her wall street transcripts. It is even being reported that Sanders has accepted money from Conservative PACS that are attacking Hillary.
Most troubling for Sanders is his promise not to go negative in this campaign, a promise he is now more than willing to overlook in order to shift the focus on the Clinton campaign and help his own cause.
Republicans realize that a Clinton surge that would propel her to the nomination is their worst nightmare for the General Election, and so once again as they did in the Benghazi hearings, have concocted another scheme that they hope will derail the Clinton campaign.

(30,439 posts)The last 100 or so polls I've seen show Hillary leading nationally, except for a Fox News poll.

(42,862 posts)... just looking at Bernie's poll numbers and the mere 7% chance he has at becoming the nominee, well, it certainly makes sense that he (or his campaign advisors) would be feeling immense pressure to "go negative" in the hopes of saving the campaign.
Frankly, it seems pretty clear to me that at this late hour, there's not much he can do to salvage his chances of becoming the nominee. The polling is pretty consistent, and we'll be able to tell in a very short while that he simply won't have the number of delegates needed to win.

(8,733 posts)Of the condescension and crap that gets spewed around here "oh, I'd vote for Sanders if he were the nominee".
The tone and verbiage used in these type of OPs and the post to those OPs by HRC supporters are clearly indicative of how they really feel about Sanders and those that support him.
Not fooling anyone. It is very clear, given any other option, say Bloomberg, you would make that vote before circling that bubble for Sanders.

(1,249 posts)seriously, this is bullshit.
Her refusal to release transcripts is fair game, especially seeing as how Sanders released his. And nowhere in your link http://www.cnn.com/2016/02/26/politics/hillary-clinton-pac-ad-speech-transcripts/index.html is there evidence of a direct relationship between the GOP ads and the Sanders campaign, other than they both would like HRC transcripts released, as would most of America.
Grow up.

(98 posts)The sleazy Clinton machine threw a tantrum during the fall when Sanders released an introductory ad, where he was described as an "honest" politician. Hearing honesty brought into the campaign triggered Clinton hacks to declare the ad " negative." Sanders asking for transparency from Clinton regarding her cozy relationship with the banking industry is not "going negative."

Click on the link about Sanders-aligned Progressives and you get CNN with a report about Republican SuperPAC that has nothing to do with Sanders and no factual info about anything to connect the two. What a surprise!
Click on the link for details on Sanders accepting money from Con. PACS - which I assumed would be to real information - and you get . . . another blog with no real facts - but some really funny opinion if you want a good laugh. This blog must be a real winner - it has 16 likes already!
Seriously? This is what Clinton supporters need? You have virtually all the mainstream media touting Hillary's inevitability with no mention that any of the "pundits" saying these things are actually donors or advisors to her campaign. Do you really need SKYWATCH's blog about "someone" who said "something" that "some people" are saying about . . . ?

I, for one, am fucking sick of this shit. Any time Bernie talks about Hillary's record, he "mansplaining," "going negative," etc. "AND HE PROMISED NOT TO DO THAT!" Conveiniently ignored are all of Hillary's negative comments, along wiht any fucking discussion on policy.
So please, go pound sand!
