Because I remember Cheney beating Edwards. And assuming Cheney beat Edwards. And yet ... really? CNN said Edwards beat Cheney? That's crazy. And puts things in perspective. (I was so disappointed in that debate, because I really expected trial lawyer Edwards to whip Dr. Evil's ass.)

CNN is a joke, I have been watching the coverage (only one I can atm) and the whole coverage has been dedicated to the "tone", the amount of time each person talked, and how the candidates were percieved. At any moment I am expecting them to break out there fashion guy to talk about what they were wearing, fucking pathetic.... "news"

I know online polls are not scientific, but there's probably just as many Freepers swamping that poll as DUers and other liberal internet people, so it paints a somewhat accurate picture.

A 66-33 margin vs a 44-48 one is a stark contrast.

The important thing is I think Democrats will have become more enthusiastic after tonight. I think many felt let down and demoralized after the debate last week. If Obama can keep this momentum going through the next two debates, he may bring back many of those registered voters that for whatever reason were on the fence after last week. Hence the gap, Gallup was showing between RVs and LVs. It's all about closing that gap.

People really didn't know what to expect of the two tonight. Ryan has been relatively unknown to most people. Biden for much of the term has simply been known as that goofy old guy that puts his foot in the mouth a lot (not my opinion, but that's what one common perception is). I think he may have changed that tonight. I hope so. We'll see how things shape up. Even if it's not a huge poll swing, the important thing is that Romney doesn't start gaining especially in OH, VA, CO, and NV. I think this race is really down to those four states. I think FL is too corrupt. NC is far from being a tipping point state. And I really doubt Obama would lose WI while winning OH and/or VA.
