I am so proud of my daughter

Right after the debate she texted me, saying she watched it and how does she register in the state where she lives. Then she wrote this:

My take on the debate:

As someone who is not really informed or well read on what is going on behind the scene's with the military and afghanistan, I wasn't really sure what Ryan was talking about. He kept mentioning gains when Martha asked about "why not leave now", but gave no specifics in gains that were made. He sounded like he either didnt know what he was talking about, or hiding behind something that he didnt want to say. I found him to be vague and uninformative which made him look ignorant. Biden gave details of what was going on and what the gains that were made actually were which showed that he wasn't ashamed of anything and knew what he was saying. I was much more impressed with Biden. Ryan seemed rehearsed and inauthentic and Biden was passionate and genuine. I also respect someone who can stand behind their belief and not feel the need to force it on others. Ryan lied about what he believes ( as a co-supporter of 'legitimate rape' person), it was ironic how he spoke of honesty being a quality that would help him in office.

I do not understand how anyone could say that Biden was abrasive, but that's the meme on facebook at the moment, with the few (incredibly few) right wingers on the page. One or two of them are texas republicans, which may explain things.

I am also amazed that Ryan didn't choke over that bit of a large Republican tent, and not having to march lockstep. I thought Biden was going to choke.

Abrasive? Well, I can see why some would say that, because I'm pretty much the same way. I don't like someone trying to dominate a conversation by blithering nonsense and I have no patience for those who, to quote VP Biden, "need to be more candid." Biden was frustrated at the lies and the attempt to pull a Romney-the-bully act.
