No posts about Martha Raddatz? That's good for her.

I thought she did a nice job. She let both of them run on a little too long at times, and there are certainly some questions I wish she would have gotten into. But overall, I thought she was fair and reasonably in control of the situation, pressing both debaters when necessary.

The fact that nobody is talking about her means she did a great job.

When they aren't talking about the NFL refs, the refs are doing a good job.

I don't know how she would have done if she had had an asshole like Robme railroading over her questions and attempts to "moderate" the debate.

Intelligent questions and not afraid to assert herself in bring both candidates under control.

She did a good job...sincere, classy, and held the candidates accountable for their positions.

Ms.Raddatz did great overall.

The good news (re: debate processes such as they were set up) is that each of them had equal talking time. I believe there was only a minute or two more that separated the talking time. (wasn't counting myself)

The better news is that Ms.Raddatz' questions gave Lyan' more than enough rope to hang himself!

I think that this set the scene for Tuesday night. We know most of this for Lyan' was memorization... however, the next debate is on FP & since there was more on FP than the economy tonight, the Prez has some idea of what the campaign/Rmoney is going to say & can use this debate to frame his opposition. That is unless they reprogram the Rombot with different platitudes. We shall see...what we shall see...

I only know what I am feeling now & that is much, much, better than last week!

One more aside...last week, after the debate, I heard the spin room was sparselly populated as far as Obama-Biden surrogates were concerned. Tonight I think we'll Havre more to say, not to mention the fact checkers wool be busy all night & throughout the weekend.

I know some in the MSM will call it a draw & Faux will say Joe was rude etc...Do I care? One thing I do know for sure is that VP Joe knew his stuff & didn't use random numbers that he could not explain to the average viewer. I call it a win & I am sure the POTUS was proud of his VP/running mate's performance not only tonight, but for the last 4 years.

Last comment: Watch Lyan's face in side by side with the sound off while Joe is talking. He has three facial expressions, all closed lipped. Imagine he has white clown makeup on & you'll see the face of any mime, anywhere. Watch the video only and you'll see the clown car come to life. Breaking out the Bailey's & hot chocolate now.

I posted disappointment with Martha. She let Ryan ramble on for far too long several times without answering questions. Too much focus on international, and at the abortion question relating to their personal Catholic histories, I had to shut it off. Biden cleaned Ryan's clock on his own and after asserting himself more with Missie Martha.

I'm not sure at this point if our political process lends itself at all to any debates, regardless of who is moderating.
