Bernie talks about his campaign contributions and says, "Do you know what our average campaign contribution is?" And the audience yells out, "27 dollars."
And Bernie laughs and says back, Theres no way we are going to lose Minnesota, Sanders said to the cheering crowd. I can see that. You are just too smart.
Check it out at the 26.47 mark.

Somebody just needs to give the race card a rest.

(975 posts)Many people just won't vote for her. Ever.
She won't ever win with lies and swift boating of our candidate. The lies, smears, race baiting, red baiting, and Jew baiting is enough for many people to say fuck it and stay home. And who could blame them.

It's a place where you can say what you really think and not get banned.
And it's a place where the people the Hillary voters have been threatening to ban for saying they won't vote for Hillary can go to.
If you want the url to post now, email me. When it replicates it will be democratsforward.org.
That said, I expect to still come to DU but many other duers may need a place to go, perhaps until election time when they make their choice. It's against the board rules to not support the DNC.

(4,234 posts)In 2010, Greene pulled in two-thirds of the vote when nobody knew him from Adam, and the same machines were used to count the vote in the Dem primary in SC that were used to count his votes.
Read about it here:
http://bradblog.com/?p=11576
Here's a bit from BradBlog to think a bit about:
"The current polls on both the Republican and Democratic sides (some of which, if accurate, is quite surprising!) All of which offers another swell excuse to remind you about the oft-failed, easily-hackable, 100% unverifiable touch-screen voting systems that will, incredibly enough, once again be in use across South Carolina this year.
"That, despite the infamous 2010 election in SC which resulted in a guy who nobody had ever heard of (Alvin Greene) --- a 32-year old man who did not campaign, had no campaign website, had no job, didn't even own a cell phone --- somehow being named the winner of the state's Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate! Somehow, as we covered in great detail at the time, he managed to "defeat" a popular former Circuit Court Judge named Vic Rawl (who did campaign across the entire state!) in the bargain.
"Those same failed machines will once again be in use, not only in SC for this Presidential Election year, but also in many other states as well, including Ohio where some are reportedly failing already. In Lee County, FL, in the meantime, a candidate for Supervisor of Elections and a cybersecurity expert are now being investigated by state officials after the pair released a YouTube video showing how easy it was to hack into the main County Elections website server."
I do not believe the final results in SC are accurate, but of course nobody has any way to prove otherwise.

(50,566 posts)It wasn't even a very good joke!
Everyone in the country knows by now Bernie's average campaign contribution is only $27...which means there are a whole lot of $3 donations to balance out the 900 over-$2700 contributions in the most recent reporting quarter the FEC is on Bernie's ass about.
But hey, that's okay...he should be able to find another obscure rapper to tell America how wonderful he is.

(27,820 posts)... can see that no one brought up race except BS supporters.
The other replies are about calling SC voters stupid, not calling AAs in SC stupid.
In case you hadn't noticed, not everyone in SC who voted for Hillary today is black.

(27,820 posts)Fine. You just keep telling people that HRCers said something they didn't say based on your sense of "implication".
No matter. Anyone who reads the link you've graciously provided can see for themselves what was actually said and what, according to you, was "implied".

(27,820 posts)... given Bernie's huge loss in SC, it sounded like he was saying smart people vote for him while the stupid people in SC didn't.
It had nothing to do with race - nor did anyone in that thread respond on the basis that they thought it was about race.
Except you.

(39,451 posts)This has been taken so out of context that it is unreal.
It's lighthearted humor between Bernie and his supporters about his $27 campaign contributions. Nothing whatsoever to do with SC or any other state.
NanceGreggs
(27,820 posts)The point being made by the OP is that HRCers took BS's statement to be racist.
They didn't - as is obvious from the replies on the linked thread.
jillan
(39,451 posts)that you lose by 48 points to your opponent in another state which, yes, has different demographics.
Different demographics? No implication there!
It's a joke about his contributions. And it is hilarious that anybody is trying to read more into this.

(39,451 posts)It's a back and forth between Bernie and his supporters at ALL his rallies.
Watch any of his rallies from the last month, it has gotten to be a standard JOKE about his $27 contributions.
He says I am so proud of the 4 million contributions I have gotten from individual donors and do you know what the average contribution is? The audience shouts back $27. He tells them how smart they are and everybody laughs.
It's nothing more than that.

(1,214 posts)We must accept that everything is fair in an election.1
1Does not apply to inevitable nominees, use of "unfair tactics"2 against inevitable nominees will be labeled sexist, racist and not very nice. The fact that you're still reading this is... highly suspect... That's it you're on the list
2Whether a tactic is unfair will be determined by a committee of supporters of the inevitable nominee

(135,425 posts)The article the DUer was relying on to write that OP had no video and was stripped of any context.
And you know this.
You resolved that issue by providing the video, and, after I asked you several times, the correct point in the video to find the point you were making, in the other thread--so why start up another thread, a Blame and Shame Thread, in essence, and point at a DUer to get the minions riled?
Do you not see what you are doing?
I'll just leave this here for you to peruse when you have a moment:
