1. I've got a friend at work who STILL wishes Biden had gotten the Dem nod four years ago.

I've always liked Biden and his "extreme" honesty. Not to mention, he was far and away
the most experienced candidate!

I thought he was too old and wanted someone more "electable".

But DAMN Joe Biden can rock the house. He really came through when the chips were down.

I would never, ever want to tangle with Joe Biden in an argument, but I'd love for him to tell me a story. It's the voice. He sounds like your favourite uncle, the one who teaches you all kinds of neat, weird, interesting stuff about how the world works, and make it interesting. I thought he would have made a wonderful President four years ago (he'll be a bit long in the tooth for the job in 2016, though) and was disappointed that he had to drop out. Plus the man has an outstanding brain, but he also knows how to hide it just out of sight until needed. Hence the "gaffes". They're gaffes in the way that a gaffe is my foot.

Anyway, that's just my perspective from north of the border. Make of it what you will.
