Yes, it's still primary season but why not ask the question?

Would it be a fair question to ask in a debate ???

Just as likely; just as pointless a question.

Supreme court picks need to be in their low 50's at the oldest. Late 40's is even better.

Bill? Who at one point had his bar license suspended?
http://www.theguardian.com/world/2001/oct/02/duncancampbell

Would Hillary really want to have that relitigated and take away from real priorities of her administration?
Obviously not.

And why would Bill--who hasn't actually practiced law in years--want to give up his freedom for the rigors of a lifetime appointment on the bench, where he'd have to keep a lid on it all the time AND would become just 1 of 9 instead of The Center of the Universe the way he is now in just about every room he is in?

That is all. He's too old, for one thing, and she's not stupid enough to nominate her husband and face a charge of nepotism.

It won't happen.

Conflict of interest. The President's Spouse serving in another branch of government that's meant to check and balance the Executive?

Political absurdity. Nominate her own husband? Come on!

It would involve her acting against her own best interests. People would ridicule her and Bill's days as a fundraising juggernaut would be over.

Bill Clinton is, frankly, too old to be considered. Democrats nominate judges in their mid-50s to early 60s. Bubba's past 70. Republicans nominate Scotus justices who are in their 40s or early 50s.

PR disaster. It would confirm every "power-hungry" slur launched against them over the past 35 years.

Like this one rally matters.

Your response represents a naivete of the American electorate. They love a good reality show.

Think he would by replaced by someone after 2020.

He temporarily lost his law licence, has no record as a judge, little record as a lawyer and a lot of baggage as a person.

He's not right for the job, and he's too old and increasingly frail.

She might consider Obama, though. It would give me endless delight if the GOP continues to block Obama's SC appointment, only to see Pres. Clinton nominate Obama to the SC. Obama has the temperament and the knowledge of the constitution. Doubt he'd want it, though.
