2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumLet me tell you about "the big f**king deal" in Ohio. Every teacher, cop, and firefighter
watched Joe fight for them last night. Middle-class voters learned last night which party is on their side!
DO NOT FORGET the vote here in Ohio to overturn SB5 WAS overwhelming.....a huge rejection of GOP policies!
This Buckeye will tell you..."Yes, last night was a big f**king deal" for many more reasons than the elite media just don't get.......
Here's hoping seniors were paying attention as well to Joltin' Joe!

(23,973 posts)Close-minded people who seek out affirmation of their biases and prejudices are almost impossible to reason with; they ignore whatever the facts may be, and cling to those that tell them what they want to hear.
Thankfully, they are a minority in this nation, and the Old Guard of the White racist establishment and their footsoldiers are slowly dying off.

No modern republican has won the White House without winning Ohio first.

(11,481 posts)Wasn't Ohio the state that was stolen for Bush in '04? What's going to prevent that again? Of course the same applies to Florida, but it seems that Ohio is what this discussion is all about.

The flipping would need to be on a massive scale as it isn't close enough to steal.
socialist_n_TN
(11,481 posts)But the whole point to the "tightening polls" meme in the MSM is to get the perception out there that's it's close. If it's close, they'll steal it. That's just the way it is. And I hope you're right about the state erupting. I might have to take a trip north if it does.

(122 posts)Sad to see. On their website they had an online poll where you could vote for the VP debate. Last I looked 50000 people had voted and it was
Biden 61%
32331
Ryan 39%
20345
But they keep using that other poll that shows Ryan won.How did they even come up with that other poll? Go figure!

(13,297 posts)... comes into the room with his clipboard, and his charts and his figures and says 'Sorry folks, we are going to have to cut some of our staff -- and that means you. So terribly sorry, Cya' -- and then drives away in his Ferrari with his 80's rock music blaring full tilt home to catch the game.
He's the 'suit' who comes in and, with no experience, tells you what you need to do to fix something, and then wanders away to tell someone else how to fix something else, and then another -- all the while, not helping or sticking around to get his hands dirty doing the actual work...
He's the guy who thinks that his neighborhood is the only place that matters -- that people like him are the only people who matter -- and that folks who happen to think exactly like him are the only patriotic folks in the country and the rest are out of touch or too dumb to know better...
Yes, he's 'that guy' and we all know him when he has walked in the room.
Now is our chance to tell 'that guy' -- that idiot who always walked in shaking their stick at the rest of us...
... to stick it.
