2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumHow could women not know that Republicans are a threat to reproductive rights?
I'm hearing that Obama has lost women since last week's debate. The gender gap was partially from the relentless attack on abortion and birth control.
The Republicans first put an anti-choice position in their convention plank in 1976 and passed the Hyde Amendment in 1977. They've been harrassing women non-stop since the Supreme Court first handed down Roe v. Wade in 1973.
What do fence-sitting women think? That Republicans are their friends?

(37,152 posts)When I asked why a woman would vote against women's rights, she said she was only concerned about military spending (her husband's salary) and didn't care about "all that."

American women are much more conservative than women in other Western countries.
