There will be many epic contests today, but the most important one will be

Tottenham Hotspur playing perhaps their last game on the Boleyn Ground against West Ham United. A Spurs win and Leicester loss would catapult the North Londoners to top of the table. The chances look good for Spurs: they smashed the hapless Hammers 4-1 at White Hart Lane in the autumn.

But, that was an Irons side depleted by injury, and most notably without their standout attacking midfielder in the mix: Dmitri Payet. As the West Ham faithful are wont to chant, we've got Payet, Dmitri Payet, I just don't think you understand...

I have only one thing to say: COME ON YOU IRONS!!!!

I'm forever blowing bubbles
Pretty bubbles in the air
They fly so high
Nearly reach the sky
Then like my dreams
They fade and die
Fortune's always hiding
I've looked everywhere
But I'm forever blowing bubbles
Pretty bubbles in the air
UNITED UNITED UNITED

I haven't paid much attention this year. Who is on the hot seat to be relegated? Is it clear or is there a fight? That often leads to great matches near the end of the season.

Time seems to have gotten the best of me this season.

Apart from that, it's a fight between Sunderland, Newcastle, Norwich, and Swansea, and maybe Bournemouth. The last ten are shaping up to be a real scorcher. The big story is that Leicester City sits at the top of the table in the most improbable performance in recent memory (they were nearly relegated last year), and they, Spurs, Arsenal, and Man City all have a legitimate shot at the title.

I watched closely in years past. It is my favorite sport. I'm chuckling a bit as my neighbor and soccer watching friend often sports an Aston Villa jersey.
