Gallup Poll Shows Unemployment Down To 7.3%

Gallup Poll Shows Unemployment Down To 7.3%

Gallup’s 30 day moving average poll finds unemployment has dropped to 7.3%. This obviously correlates to the recent BLS numbers that had the right wing in a frenzy of conspiracy talk. Also correlating to the improving BLS numbers are the facts that recent jobless claims numbers are dropping dramatically and today’s consumer confidence number hit a 5 year pre recession high.

So, all this new information should put the conservative conspiracy theorists to rest and they can take off the tin foil hat. This isn’t a conspiracy to re-elect President Obama; rather, it is a mandate that he should be re-elected considering the economic indicators. He has handled the economy well and has continued to be a steady hand at the wheel of history.

Will the news media pick up stories like this? No, of course not. If the American people knew this information readily, the race would be blown wide open by President Obama and nobody would tune into their stations.

The media needs a horse race — one that increases ad revenue from the campaigns and causes viewers to tune in more often and attracts more commercials.

Last week the day before the election I think I posted Gallup's report predicting that it would fall to 7.9 or 7.8, and Gallup turned out to be right.

It will be interesting to see if they are right this time as well in predicting the trend in advance.

I'm guessing no, just talking about how women are swooning over Romney's manhood and how Paul Ryan was a gentleman and won the debate.

That's ridiculous. The media are supposed to be journalists, who are supposed to be, you know, curious. Looking for information to report.

Especially when a Democrat is trying to get re-elected. CNN should change its name to RRN (the Romney-Ryan Network)

A journalist goes and looks for the story. Doesn't wait until the story hits them over the head.

That means they call the shots. Maybe we need real journalists instead of candidates who set the agenda.

however, i did a little looking around on the ADP site.
can someone explain to me how the hell they can release the
October jobs report on October 31st? Won't they be missing
a few days? and isn't it pretty obvious that they are trying
to rush it out to affect the election?

the september jobs report didn't come out until October 3rd
and november's report won't be out until December 5th.
so what is the rush to release the October report
BEFORE OCTOBER IS EVEN OVER?

So, apparently the other data is collected earlier in the month.

At least that is what I think it says.

Giant "NOW HIRING" banner next to a giant American flag on a large industrial building. For the life of me I cannot remember the company name but it made me smile. Couldn't take a photo, not safe to stop but wouldn't that make a great beginning of a photo essay here? I will try my damndest to start snapping photos when I see them.

Here is some evidence to vet, about our Economic Recovery, from a liberal democratic unemployed union worker who challenged the federal policy for the Emergency Unemployment Compensation Program in California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board Case A0-265448 on 10/20/2011. The EUC08 benefits are the 99 weeks (now 73-ish) of federal emergency unemployment benefits that come after a person runs out of their 26 week regular compensation state unemployment insurance.

1. This case challenged the Department of Labors federal implementation of these ARRA funds (Division B Title II Section 2001) and prevailed ($2786 ARRA dollars restored that had been denied over 26 weeks based on the mistakes published in UIPL 23-08 Change 1 Q&A section about "Multiple EUC Claims&quot .

2. This case challenged the faulty implementation of the EUC08 program put in place by Robert Wagner the Chief of Special Benefits for the Department of Labor and his mistaken definition for the "applicable benefit year"and refuted it (in support of the federal regulations found at Title 20 Chapter V Part 615).

Here are scans of the case, and of the freedom of information documents that have been exposed and show our government trying to coverup the precedent decision that proved their implementation errors that have denied millions of unemployed billions of dollars in ARRA aid

CUIAB Case A0-265448 Appeal Victory refuted the Federal EUC08 Multiple EUC Claim Policy Mistake

FOIA request obtained these documents that show the White House being notified about this appeal victory that refuted federal EUC08 policy on 10/20/11 by Dale Ziegler of the Department of Labor Unemployment Insurance Division

FOIA request obtained this letter sent from 2/7/12 from Todd Yamamoto of the DOL ETA Region 6 office and his threats against the state of California agencies over the CUIAB Case A0-265448 precedent request

FOIA request obtained this response to the 2/7 letter above, on 2/14/12 by the California CUIAB and EDD who agree to squash the precedent request without ever taking the case to court to try to overturn the decision that exposed their EUC08 program implementation errors

3. These documents reveal a cover up attempt by state and federal agencies, to squash the precedent request for CUIAB Case A0-265448, without trying to take the case to court to have it properly overturned before a Superior or Federal Court Judge under a Writ of Mandate. These actions are illegal and reveal the problems in the EUC08 program, that have drastically reduced the amount of ARRA aid for the unemployed during the recession. Literally millions of claimants have been denied benefits due to this mistake that they are trying to cover up as we speak.

4. Ask and vet away. I have scans of all the documents and can provide more evidence that does show the sad truth: the department of labor, at the highest level is trying to cover up and implementation error that affects the Recovery Act, The Economy, Millions of Claimants and the unemployment rate.

5. Sorry. I am just in the middle of this genuine attempt to have this problem investigated and repaired. Those involved have pushed this right up to the election date by their own failures to respond so far. They have failed to keep citizens from harm and violated the rights of a whistle-blower who attempted to petition the government to redress this grievance under recovery fraud complaint RATB-2011-DOL-9DF2506-0...
