Anti-Democracy Rears Its Ugly Head

Republicans have always resisted allowing people to vote. LBJ had to make a Federal case out of it by passing the Voting Rights Act in 1965.

Recently we have seen the SCOTUS try its best to rollback some of those Rights.

In this primary we see the establishment doing so little to make sure people can vote.

Even on DU we are seeing members applauding the 87% of voters who did NOT vote in SC. Or at least not complaining about the lack of participation.

History has shown that the more participation there is in democracy, the better democracy can be, so it makes me ill to see so many supporting the fact that so few are making the decisions of who shall be our rulers.

The Powers That Be do not want people voting. None of us on DU should be supporting that PTB desire.
