A Great Big "F U" to the Sanders supporters...

That was the message delivered by ex-president Bill Clinton today as he electioneered in multiple polling places in Massachusetts today. Don't mistake it for anything else-if his appearance in those few locations could have guaranteed every vote in the building went to Hillary it wouldn't have added even one more delegate. Don't think it was a mistake-the man is a Yale educated Rhodes scholar with decades of experience in politics and election law.

It was entirely about revenge and a display of power-the Big Dog was marking his territory and daring you to challenge him. In a nation of laws he would be making bail, but as it exists he's probably making jokes and you are the butt of those jokes. He broke the law on camera without a moment of concern.

Just remember that this is the way of his people...and his people are the ruling class.

What's happened during President Obama's tenure?

We lost both the house and the senate, mainly because of lazy people who wanted to pout and stomp their feet because they didn't get exactly what they wanted, when they wanted.

We lost the house in 2010 and the senate in 2014.

During most terms, the party in charge loses seats.

Bush Jr. ended up losing the house in 2006.

She underestimated how disillusioned and fed up the people were with our government because of Bush and Dems stayed home because of it. People are sick of the government status quo. Clinton has been running for president for 10yrs. and now that she has turned into Bernie Clinton many of us still remain unconvinced that she is genuine. Is she trying to be a progressive or will she remain a corporate dem and income inequality and rotten trade deals will only get worse.. Will she break up the too big to fail banks or regulate wall street or end corporate welfare or just be another oligarch tool of which she is now a member.
Will she get the profiteers out of health care ins and the defense organization. Can a multi millionaire still understand the life of the poor and middle class? Bill Clinton is not running for president but he is rooting for his wife except why does he feel the need demean the opposition on a personal basis? Are her highly paid speeches her 47% gaffe. Why is she afraid to release the transcripts. I'm sure republicans already have them recorded so why can't we see them?

How about in the 1996 election?

In both cases, Ross Perot threw the presidency to Bill Clinton.

See? That is what is going on. Some of us trying to be a little forebearing, a few nicer ones trying to offer a few cyber pats and there-theres, even here and there a good-natured hand extended in friendship. No bizarre plot to keep anyone from learning the election results....

especially as expressed as disapproval of education reform.

Hillary's plan does not go as far as Bernie's, but if she wins she will make higher education affordable, including advancing the way it is delivered and discouraging taxpayer subsidized marble surfacing and monuments instead of teaching. The enormously needed changes she plans will repair much of the profound dysfunction caused by conservative stupidity and business greed and be extremely good for an education-starved America as a whole.

There. Have a nice day.

My pat answer about FZ:

Frank's been my hero since the October 16, 1971 Stony Brook late show. His VALUES resonate with me as much as his music.

It's been a hypothetical thought with me that if Frank was around in 2003, he could have single handedly turned public opinion around about the impending Iraq invasion; because he was one of the only public figures with the balls to say it, and Frank knew how to get press.

At his core, Frank was an American pioneer in the best sense of the word.

Tue Mar 1, 2016, 07:18 PM
Mar 2016

He got into a real kerfuffle with a cop at the polling place and it spilled over.

On edit: Here is is.

Michael Bissonnette, the former mayor who is seeking a return to the office, was threatened with arrest when he and the Chicopee police officer stationed at the Bellamy Middle School polling place got into a heated shouting match that apparently started over the former mayor wearing a campaign button inside a polling area.

The officer, Lt. John Provonost, called for backup at the school and several officers responded to the scene before cooler heads prevailed and Bissonnette was allowed to leave.

The matter probably would never seen the light of day had not Bissonnette logged onto his Facebook page to post a blistering account of the incident that blasted Provonost in particular and the Chicopee police in general, accusing them of an "incredible abuse of power" and suggesting the FBI come in and clear out the "small group of self-serving vindictive superior officers."

Chicopee police spokesman Michael Wilk confirmed that police were dispatched to the school for a disturbance involving Bissonnette.

Activities in the Polling Location
On Election Day, certain activities are prohibited within the polling location and within 150 feet of the polling place. General Law chapter 54, section 65 prohibits within 150 feet of a polling location, among other things, the posting, exhibition, circulation, or distribution of material--including pasters, stickers, posters, cards, handbills, placards, pictures or circulars--intended to influence the action of the voter. G. L. 54, § 65 (2002 ed.). Consistent with the activities restricted by statute, the implementing regulations prohibit the solicitation of votes for or against, or any other form of promotion or opposition of, any person or political party or position on a ballot question, to be voted on at the current election. 950 C.M.R. § 54.04(22)(d). Accordingly, a person standing within 150 feet of a polling location, including observers in the polling location, may not: hold any campaign sign; hand any person literature intended to influence the voter’s action at the polls; wear any campaign buttons or identifying signage; solicit a person’s vote for or against a candidate or question on the ballot; or, distribute stickers. Circulators of nomination papers, initiative and referenda petitions are also restricted from soliciting signatures within 150 feet of a building entrance door to a polling place. G. L. c. 54, § 65 (2002 ed.). This is true even where the nomination papers, initiative petition or referendum have nothing to do with the current election.

I see people outside polling places all the time. As long as they are 150 feet away, its legal where I live.

If bill clinton broke that law, thats different, but that was not mentioned by the OP.

not for Hillary: This is it. She is vengeful.

We cannot afford to have a vengeful person in the White House.

It's downright dangerous. I won't vote for her. Not ever.

Trump is horrible, but he wants people to like him. He is nuts and also vengeful but not as steely, cold vengeful as Hillary.

That's my opinion. You are welcome to disagree with me.

If she is elected or gets the nomination, history will tell whether I am right.

Just further proof that Camp Sanders have no capacity to understand that people can hold a different opinion and not be crazy, insane, or devious for doing so.

Bill campaigning in MA for his wife is a big "FU" to Sanders' supporters???? This place has lost its mind.

BTW, the Clintons are very popular in MA. In 2008, despite Obama having been endorsed by Kerry, Kennedy and Patrick; Hillary won MA by almost 10%.

Whoever wins MA tonight will do so by a narrow margin. Both candidates are popular in the state.

200. I have gone from mildly thinking that a Clinton in the White House would maybe be ok
Wed Mar 2, 2016, 12:35 AM
Mar 2016

to thoroughly loathing both Hill and Bill. I hate their campaigning. I hate their sense of entitlement. I will have to go thru some serious mental acrobatics to get to any kind of place where I can vote for her in the Fall IF and only if she is the nominee.

I recently found a large file of clippings of articles on her from the 90s when I truly admired her. Since that time I have watched and tried to understand her. The move to New York when she grew up in Illinois and lived in Arkansas. The choice to support the Iraq War when most thinking individuals knew it was lie. Taking incredible fees from Wall Street and not sharing the transcripts. Sending those children back to be killed. The Libya bombing. The Syrian mess. Her incredibly STUPID support of fracking and how it relates to Climate Change... she will do what is expedient to get and keep power. That's all. She will do what it takes. And according to friends and family who support this monster, "She will start on day one". Holy hell.

If she gets in, we will have nothing but wall to wall Gate this and Gate that. The climate and poverty and Wall Street derivatives will all go to hell.

"For those who do not bring a solid bag of knowledge to this place and a habit of intellectual honesty, immersion here would be expected to unravel one's ability to understand and even, or especially, one's connection to reality."

Really? This from this:

"If you won't get behind it, Phlem, at least get out of the way."

Still incredibly disgusting. And I will put you on ignore the next time you reply to me little man.

This is who you want to run the country!?

Bill Clinton, like every person on the planet is a complex mix of good and bad.

This picture magnifies everything that is bad about Bill Clinton. Everything.

This is a very, very powerful photo and one that will define not only his hubris that day, but his persona going forward.

This is truly karma in action.
