Wisconsin Senate Candidate's Son Says We "Have The Opportunity" To Send Obama Back To Kenya

Wisconsin Senate Candidate's Son Says We "Have The Opportunity" To Send Obama Back To Kenya

Jason Thompson, the son of former Governor and Wisconson Senate candidate Tommy Thompson, speaking this morning at a brunch attended by Tommy Thompson and RNC Chairman Reince Priebus said that “we have the opportunity to send President Obama back to Chicago — or Kenya.” A woman in attendance then chimed in “we are taking donations for that Kenya trip.” A spokesman for Thompson did not immediately return a request for comment.

17. Not me, they say things like that when they 'think' nobody is listening--such as 47%--it's there

Kind of shocking. Thompson's running behind Tammy Baldwin already. I can't see that this will help him look any better.

Does this guy have any clue? He is not in Alabama. This is Wisconsin. Baldwin is already ahead in the race. Won't this finish Thompson off?

Thompson will have to address this tomorrow. No way can he let this statement stand if he wants to win.

Baldwin has the edge right now.

10. I'm sure the media will give Reince Priebus (Mr. RNC P.R. B.S.) a pass

for not condemning these remarks.
Instead, Reince sat there, enjoyed the racist cheers and said nothing afterward.

Reince may or may not be a racist himself, but he sure as hell loves exploiting it and having people like this guy show up at GOP events:

If not, make it an issue on the Campaign Trail about the RNC's lack of leadership on the issue of birthers & racists.

16. Is this what this election is going to boil down to?

Is this honestly going to be decided by how much of a majority our nation's willfully ignorant racists comprises of?

In ND, the main senatorial race boils down to Rick Berg constantly running ads bashing his opponent Heidi Heitkamp for not being fervently opposed to Obama and the PPACA. Not one word of what he is offering, or why she isn't qualified, just dozens and dozens of variations on the theme of a quote from Heitkamp at the DNC saying "Obama will be amazing". As yet, polls show it to be a horse race, at least in the local media.

I'm really tired of quoting de Tocqueville. This is what's coming down the pipeline if we aren't out taking action! I will be the first to defend the rights of birthers, teabillies, racists, fundies, etc. to their beliefs and statements, just as I do flat-earthers, tinfoil-hatters, and other factions with fundamental detachments from reality. However, a win for populist movements of this mentality will only reinforce their deluded notion that they are in the right, and set the U.S. back decades in the progress we've made towards actually becoming the civilized society we've always seen ourselves as.

I assume this will be the final blow to Thompson's campaign?
