(26,080 posts)It's all over TV -- I just checked a few minutes ago. i suspect she'll get a mini state funeral, too, so it will probably bleed through most of the next week.
I won't snark on Nancy too much, because in her last years, she refused to play ball with the GOP, but i will say i will gag at all of the Ronald Reagan worship this next week.

(58,785 posts)I watch almost no TV any more, but it'd certainly be staying off if I did. We should do a national-level ceremony that is respectful to both the many millions who care and to the office, but no one needs me to pretend I care.

(20,234 posts)If she was doing as well as expected, there'd be nonstop coverage of the massive lines.
They can't un-win this one for Bernie, and it looks like he KILLED IT up in Maine.

Meanwhile, yesterday's R Maine caucus was covered all day long, from the moment they had just 2% reporting.

(9,313 posts)At least that's my understanding. I don't think they'll start reporting until all caucuses are finished. And I think that's different times. (Saw one place where the caucuses were described as "asynchonous," which I took to mean concluding at different times.) Someone from Maine could provide the real lowdown.
Lorien
(31,935 posts)and, of course, the DNC has limited Maine Dem party resources in hopes that people won't want to spend 4 hours of their Sunday standing in lines like these: https://www.facebook.com/916264421775483/videos/920131084722150/
