Related: About this forumWhen is comes the Auto Bail-out, Bernie was "for it before he was against it"
He initially voted for the auto bail-out, but voted against the bill which funded it because he thought that is was more important to stick it to bankers than it was to rescue the auto industry.

(10,303 posts)The Senate needs 60 votes to shut off debate, then 51 votes to pass the measure on round 2.
I have no idea how to dig around a voting record to that level of detail but I bet there are times when there was a Democratic majority in the Senate that Bernie voted to end debate but ultimately flipped on the final vote to record his reservations in a symbolic way.

(54,770 posts)would have been better to let the whole house of cards collapse at the time. I suspect it was better to bail it out and begin an orderly transition to something safer/better. Had things gone Sanders's way, I don't think we'd be better off right now.

The Billionaire Carmakers didn't give a bailout to the millions of people that get their cars reposed.
It amazes me that anybody could justify bailing out billionaires for their bad financial decisions. But the working people of this country just get a big F U! Anybody that voted for the bailout of billionaires is unfit to hold office.
