Gravis Marketing: FLORIDA - Romney only at (+1)

Gravis Marketing - Romney +1

Romney - 49

Obama - 48

----

10/13 - 10/14

What do you make of this Gravis poll? Is this one plausible? +1 for Romney is the same number PPP found this weekend and is a smaller lead than those found by Rasmussen (+4 Romney), ARG (+3 Romney) or Mason-Dixon (+7 Romney)

It was taken over the weekend, so it's entirely post-VP debate.

Otoh... he could just be "reloading" for the post-tuesday-debate bounce that he wants to manufacture.

4. Why are you pushing a fraudulent poster

This has already been covered. Gravis has zero credibility, doesn't matter how favorable their polls are. Even Princeton polling guys have called bogus on their math. So I would delete this thread frankly.

So I, for myself, will not be posting any of their polls even if (like this one) it isn't that bad.

Please just don't post any Gravis nonsense. It lowers the signal-to-noise ratio around here.

8. When we see even a hint of evidence that Gracvis actually conducts polls rather than making numbers

up out of whole cloth, then perhaps we can get to a place where we discuss the plausibility of their results. Before then, posts like this simply serve to legitimize what very much seems to be a fraudulent operation run by a two-bit huckster.

9. Is it plausible?

The guy who runs Gravis knows he's attracted widespread grave suspicion. It figures he might put out some less outlandish results to cover his ass at this point.

Whatever, I wouldn't take any of Gravis's numbers to mean anything at all.

And what's the betting Gravis will be out with some pretty prompt polling?

15. Just how can Gravis afford to run so many polls?

He's coming out with tons of polls. Every day it seems like. How is a one man shop coming out with that many polls?
