Mitt Romney Cancels On ‘The View’

MONDAY OCTOBER 15, 2012

Mitt Romney has canceled his appearance on "The View," set for Thursday, co-host Barbara Walters said during today's show. He was scheduled to appear with his wife Ann, who will still go on the show.

Romney campaign press secretary Andrea Saul told TPM: "It was no longer going to work in the campaign schedule but Mrs. Romney is very excited to join the ladies of 'The View'."

Walters said on-air she hopes Mitt Romney will change his mind. "It would be our pleasure to have him on the program,” she said.

During Mitt Romney's "47 percent" comments, the GOP presidential candidate also called the daytime talk show "high-risk, because, of the five women on it, only one is conservative, and four are sharp-tongued and not conservative.”

UPDATE: Walters said on-air she hopes Mitt Romney changes his mind. "It would be our pleasure to have him on the program,” she said.

Mitt can't handle being challenged by strong women. To quote Sherri Shepard, "How Can You Handle a Country If You Can't Handle Five Women?'"

sink his poll numbers. Right now he's pulled even with Obama or nearly so with women voters. Romney can't afford making a "47%" type remark on the show.

Gallup/USA Today claims Romney is 'surging' in the swing states because a lot of women moved to Romney after the first debate as someone who could do things for them etc.

I certainly hope women voters have seen what Mitt Romney & Paul Ryan have been saying about abortion and other issues and go back to Obama after the second debate or we could be in trouble.

The Obama Campaign Calls Out Gallup’s Deeply Flawed Battleground Women Poll

After Gallup released a poll showing Obama and Romney tied at 48% with

battleground state women, the Obama campaign exposed a flaw in Gallup’s likely voter methodology.

The Obama campaign pointed out that Gallup’s likely voter survey was way off in 2010, “Only 2 years ago the distortions in Gallup’s likely voter screen were exposed, leaving Gallup’s survey 9 points off the mark just days before the election. Gallup’s likely voter model predicted a 15 point advantage for Republicans, 55-40, on October 31, 2010. The final result was a 6 point margin, 51-45. That year, Gallup’s registered voter survey was much closer to reality at 48-44.”

(and I don't think much of it), the women there would really get on his case about women's rights, so the coward cancels and hides yet again behind his wife's skirts so she will have to speak for him (and lie). Loser!

RWers always like to talk the talk and brainwash their supporters with their pigcrap, but when it comes to arguing the facts with the other side, they'll punk out in a heartbeat, like how Stephanie Miller was supposed to appear on Hannity's show, but Hannity canceled on the plans.

His vaunted experience at Bain Capital was a no-risk venture: someone else's money, and if it didn't work out he'd get his old job back with retroactive raises and promotions.
