Close UPSET primary victories can affect a lot.

If you win a primary where the polls showed you losing by twenty points two days before, this shows that you have momentum.

It influences the voters in nearby contests happening shortly thereafter.

It can make sane superdelegates rethink "inevitability", if they realize they may be backing an inevitable loser.

A lot has just changed.

A lot more CAN change.
