(24,411 posts)Yep. Bernie is a communist.
I'm sure HRC's digital support team will be suggesting that Bernie agrees with everything Castro every did, when clearly--during the debate he said that Castro was a dictator and that he hopes the country moves in the direction of freedom.
Her internet gremlins will be running with this one, trying to get major mileage.
My God--these people just trade in bullshit, spin and lies.
Someone should study them!

(4,111 posts)did Bernie explain that he's a Democratic Socialist and not a communist?
CoffeeCat
(24,411 posts)I did not hear the full response. I heard him discussing how he was against the US overthrowing leaders in countries.
I'm sure Hillary and her digital support team will be on the case--suggesting that Bernie and Castro were besties.

(22,772 posts)I'm glad Sanders didn't pander about Cuba. He spoke from his heart. People know he's authentic and not a Castro living dictator supporting, Minuteman Militia Koch Brother's Commie.
Good God - it defies any logic, but fling it, she did.

(24,979 posts)This will of course be the endless Republican drumbeat against Sanders.
It won't work.
First of all, they have immunized against it through doing it so many times.
Voters are so not going to care.

Hillary Clinton ought to know better, and worse, she does know better and did it anyway.

(10,126 posts)These folks have six days to fact check her. Not everyone will but a bunch won't be able to help themselves as it's pretty insulting to be lied to.
Because she's such a liar, that never goes well for her so far out from the vote. Never.
She's going around the country proving to the electorate that the one thing they can count on Hillary doing if elected is .... lying to them. She's done it in nearly every state or debate.
It caught up to her with Obama. Eventually, if she keeps doing it, not even the media who is in her pocket can protect her.
The untrustworthy number will break 70% at this rate.

(10,126 posts)The media loves tearing politicians down. This is fish in a barrel time. I don't think some will be able to help themselves - even though they're kind of owned by the Clintons.
It's like the boy who cried wolf ... eventually folks get fed up because it is insulting that she thinks they're dumb enough to fall for all her BS.
I started to see a little push back in Michigan ... if she keeps it up, they'll knock her down a few notches.
And no Hillary Clinton Group's "The Brutal Assault on Hillarys Integrity Is The Gender Barrier Manifested", you're not going to get away with playing the gender card on integrity.
A liar has no gender boundaries. Hillary is a dishonest person. She has been since she showed up in Washington. She was earlier in this campaign - like Nevada. She was in Michigan with the auto bailout and she was tonight - a number of times. That has nothing to do with her gender because her husband told us "I did not have sexual relations with that women" ... which makes Bill a liar. The only difference is Bill is usually a lot better at it. Good liars don't get caught easily. I'm sure there are good female liars. Hillary isn't a good liar because she gets caught a lot. That's all. No one's going to buy your gender spin. It didn't work in 2008 and it won't work in 2016.

here is the thread (note that the article is from Brock's website), titled "The Brutal Assault on Hillary's Integrity is the Gender Barrier Manifested" http://www.democraticunderground.com/110768982
What a steaming pile.

(10,126 posts)but this time seems really lame.
What is their starting position, that women don't lie and if you say a woman does, you're down on their gender?
When you think about it objectively for a few milliseconds, the mere proposition reveals how dumb and pathetic the notion is. I think most of us think very highly of Elizabeth Warren's integrity - over most men and women in congress or in politics or in darn near any occupation for that matter.
Poor deceitful David Brock is desperately grasping here and the dead heads, incapable of thinking it through to reveal the obvious fallacy, are following Brock like aimless sheep. How sad.

(6,282 posts)CLINTON: They deserve to be treated as citizens and to be given the opportunity to get back on their feet economically. And I just want to add one thing to the question you were asking Senator Sanders. I think in that same interview, he praised what he called the revolution of values in Cuba and talked about how people were working for the common good, not for themselves.
I just couldn't disagree more. You know, if the values are that you oppress people, you disappear people, you imprison people or even kill people for expressing their opinions, for expressing freedom of speech, that is not the kind of revolution of values that I ever want to see anywhere.
