Related: About this forumHow can Bernie be a dictatorship loving communist and a Koch Brothers ally?
The kitchen sink strategy is mighty confusing.

Great question, OP.

(11,175 posts)As you note, Obama is an adherent of a racist Christian church, and is also a Muslim (who's planning to impose Sharia law). But we need Ann Coulter to point out that he's an atheist. I don't know which of those three identities supports his status as the Antichrist.
Without doing any searching, and just going from memory, I think Obama has also been described as a Communist, a fascist, and an anarchist.
By comparison, Bernie is getting off easy.

(36,063 posts)Sanders isn't pushing for command economies, but the rhetoric of the cold war echoes in people's memories like the phrase "truth, justice and THE American way". That rhetoric is a useful cudgel for Sanders opponents, it allows them to righteiously swing at evils he does not promote.

(47,803 posts)Rather than tinhorn dictators or Soviet bureaucracies calling the shots, we have slick oligarchs in nice suits and the corporate bureaucracies they own calling the shots.

(1,446 posts)That the right wants Bernie to win the nomination because they know they could annihilate him in the general. By showing that the Koch Bros are putting out pro-Bernie ads, this just supports the argument. Remember, all those polls everyone continually sites are based on the public knowing very little about Bernie, and with NO negative campaigning against him. Think about it, the right has managed to turn Obama into some sort of cross between the anti-christ and a Muslim terrorist, they could do even worse to Sanders. A few clips of him saying he will raise taxes, combined with the socialists thing, religion, free giveaways, government taking over healthcare, etc...and wow, you have a repub win.

(47,803 posts)A pretty flimsy excuse for smearing Sanders in such a ridiculous way.
