DNC Chair Tried To Eject Michigan Mayor From Democratic Debate For Supporting Bernie Sanders

http://bipartisanreport.com/2016/03/09/dnc-chair-tried-to-eject-michigan-mayor-from-democratic-debate-for-supporting-bernie-sanders/

May be a repeat, but this is worth repeating.

Mayor Jim Fouts of Warren, Michigan claims that he and his staff were told to leave the Democratic debate, which took place on Sunday in Flint, Michigan, by Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Fouts is a registered independent who supports Bernie Sanders, and claims that he and his staff were asked to leave after expressing support for Sanders during the debate. The major was also seated directly behind Wasserman Schultz. DNC staffers claim that Fouts was “being very disruptive.”

Fouts asked the security guard if Wasserman Schultz made the request, according to Fouts, “The security guy said, ‘Don’t say I said it.’”

The mayor has attended both Democratic and Republican debates this year, and he notes an undeniable difference between the two atmospheres.

“The Democratic debate is totally controlled by Hillarys [sic] good friend DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz,” Fouts wrote in a Facebook post. “No commentary is allowed by the audience. Particularly if you are cheering Bernie Sanders. Persons who do not adhere to Hillarys [sic] rules are threatened with expulsion.”

He also said the Democratic Party’s debate process “borders on totalitarian control” and in an interview on Monday, he also said Wasserman Schultz should resign.

and I guess every party has its horses ass politicians that are transparently only about their personal ambition.

I honestly don't think there could be a worse person to conduct Democratic Party business, based upon her record.

Her record includes that she campaigned for a Republican over her party.

And this is our "put together" chairman.

I'm pretty sure someone on DU has a sheep more astute of a politician that her.

She doesn't count sheep, she dreams to miscount ballots.

Problem solved. She gets to demonstrate how SPECIAL and POWERFUL she is, the rest of the audience doesn't have to put up with her.

The crowd isn't the show. Look at how it makes the Republican debates look even sillier than they should.

Crowds react. That's life. And in democracy the crowd is in fact a large part of the 'show' the audience represents the voters of the country. You can not both have the attentions of people and demand utter silence out of them, it just does not work. In a debate, it is the role of the moderators on the stage to keep the whole thing rolling as it is supposed to roll, that means they check the candidates who try to push past the rules and they do the same for the crowd, with equity and transparency, out loud and in front of everyone.

Hold an event like that and you should assume there will be reactions outside the spectrum hoped for. Protocols for handling such reactions should be in place and should be in the hands of the moderators of the debate.
