Sanders Campaign Accuses Hillary of Violating Debate Rules

http://www.weeklystandard.com/sanders-campaign-accuses-hillary-of-violating-debate-rules/article/2001476

Hillary Clinton violated debate rules in last night's duel in Miami, according to the Bernie Sanders campaign.

There are rules not allowing candidates to talk with their staff during breaks in the debate. And a photo posted by Fox News reporter Ed Henry shows Clinton surrounded by aides during one of the breaks.

"Sanders aide Jeff Weaver told me photo circulating of @HillaryClinton w/staff during debate break violates DNC rules," Henry tweeted.

In a follow up tweet, Henry got comment from Clinton campaign.

"Candidates are not supposed to confer w staff during commercial breaks -- Clinton aide Jen Palmieri told me she wasn't aware of pic," Henry tweeted.

1. I don't know... considering her disastrous performance, meeting with staff didn't advantage her

Maybe we should encourage her to cheat more often.

but I really doubt that it was even on her mind. Since the CEO of Univison is such a big Clinton supporter, it probably didn't even occur to her NOT to speak with the staff there.

12. I can't say I favor such a rule, but the candidates agreed to it.

It's not a good thing to have a track record for going back on your word.

One shouldn't violate previous agreed upon rules.

That being said, I don't think the rule is a good one.

I get it, she thinks the rules don't apply to her. Maybe so. But unless there are some kind of tangible consequences that can come of this, it just looks like the Bernie campaign being sore winners. Doesn't seem worth it to me.
