What a role you play in our "democracy." The use of green stripes and green water is definitely apropos. It's the alter at which "we" worship.

(643 posts)Seriously, it is playing an enormous part in determining who gets elected on both sides. As I've mentioned in a couple of other threads, I'd like to see a documentary done on how the media helped shape the 2016 election. I think it would be very revealing if it was handled by the right person.

(30,481 posts)They have been very successful at defining it that way over the last few decades. As far as main stream, there is no such thing.
Many don't know what journalism is at this point as the lines have been beyond blurred by propaganda itself. A major right wing hack is often referred to as a journalist right here on DU. They operate off of one hundred percent deception and are an outlet for propaganda.

CNN was already dead to anyone under 40
Fox is ...well.......fox. It's audience literally is dying off.
Out of the ashes will emerge a new , strong network of truth. Nature hates a vacuum ...
Hopefully it will include Keith, Cenk, Thom, Sam, Amy etc
