Sharpton Says He’s Close to Endorsing in Democratic Primary

Mich. election results show “exactly what my concerns were” about Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, civil rights activist Al Sharpton says at Christian Science Monitor breakfast.

Says Clinton has won over black Americans, but not working-class whites; Sanders’ economic message has resonated with working-class whites but not minorities

“The balance is what has to happen and so far neither candidate has shown enough of that balance”

Sharpton says Sanders’ recent gaffe about understanding blacks in the ghetto was “offensive” to some

Says he doesn’t believe Clinton will be indicted in e-mail scandal; says if that were to happen, Vice President Joe Biden could pull party together as nominee

Says he also doesn’t rule out idea of Sanders uniting party

Pushed for other names, he cites Sec. of State. John Kerry, former Mass. Gov. Deval Patrick, Rep. Jim Clyburn, Sen. Elizabeth
Warren

“A candidacy by Elizabeth Warren would be electrifying”

8. two scenarios:

Mar 2016

Sharpton endorses Clinton: He is another amoral corporatist, was probably paid for his endorsement, and is now totally discredited and to be ignored forever.

Sharpton endorses Sanders: A true visionary hero who cannot be bought and genuinely speaks for the AA community and liberals everywhere.

Drumrolls. Either get on board or get out the way.

Sidenote: what happened to his show on M$NBC? Did he get the boot like Ed?

Lay it out there or sthu.
