I predict that Romney lost the election on the Benghazi smackdown.

Candy Crowley corrected Romney; the audience applauded in response, supporting the president. The entire tone shifted, and Romney stood there looking like a petulant child. It was a SEVERE schooling. One of the harshest I have ever seen in a debate.

He was indignant yet dignified, and Romney got spanked. It was one of the finer moments of the debate.

And when Obama stood there, lecturing Romney on politicizing tragedy, was a particularly brutal moment for Romney. Like never before, he was totally exposed for the opportunist that he is.

Show of strength, righteous indignation, and disdain. That, to me, was the home run of the night.

It was very clear at this point in the debate who was and who was not presidential material.
