I had totally forgotten about that.

In all seriousness, though, I think he should stay in until everyone has voted, then concede if he is behind in the pledged delegates. Ditto for Hillary.

You really should self delete on this. Not cool. Didn't like when Hillary said it and don't like when you say it.

1. he might still win (it's a long shot, but he seems prepared to take it)
2. even with a minority of delegates, he'll get some say in drafting the Democratic platform
3. prime speaking spot at the convention
4. helps build an economic progressive movement within the Democratic party (which has all but abandoned such positions lately)
5. acknowledges the loyalty of the millions of people who donated to his campaign, which is itself a strong challenge to the status quo of political campaign funding
6. keeps Trump from sucking up all news cycles 24/7 (the balance was already pretty bad, just imagine if there wasn't a Democratic horse race to cover)
and so on. lots of reasons.

Nobody else could get away with it. Now we're supposed to choose between them for President. I sure wish somebody could give us a 3rd party alternative with even a remote chance to win.

So that non-neanderthals have someone to support in Philly.

A certain candidate's infamous wet-dream about Los Angeles 1968 notwithstanding.

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Tue Mar 15, 2016, 07:48 PM, and the Jury voted 2-5 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Hillary's the one who said it. Quoting a candidate's words doesn't seem hide-worthy.
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: it's not even targeted at Hillary, it's just turning her usual callousness against her
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: What a stupid stretch. Go find out what the origin of this post is and impose a time out on yourself if you have any sense of decency.
Juror #4 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Dear alerter, stop.
Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE

I agree that Bernie should stay in the race. Just as I believed in 2008 that Clinton was right to stay in the race.

The arguments against are and were self serving.
