Hillary is ready and poised ..to lead Democrats to a landslide defeat in November

Her negatives are sky high and she will manage to drive it even higher in the coming months. She will depress turnout so significantly that whatever turd is presented as the Rs nominee will be sworn in as the next POS. She is basically "it is my turn" type of candidate with no genuine belief in anything and with a personality as lovable as a fast talking used car salesman/woman.

How can he win a GE? There aren't enough people voting for him. It's that simple.
I think it's very unlikely any dem will win in Nov. Neither Hillary or Bernie are bringing voters in.

Especially in closed primary states. Which are the majority.

Bernie is bringing in tons of support... progressive liberal support we actually WANT on our side... which we *could* convince to join and remain in the party if the party showed it deserved it by nominating a real progressive instead of the personification of the bought and paid for status quo.

But a large faction of the party appears to love nothing more than the idea of telling all those voters to fuck off because their preferred candidate doesn't have seniority in their private club.

Look, if he is the nominee, it will be because more democrats voted for him than Hillary. I'm not going to get mad at Bernie or the people who voted for him if he does wind up with the nomination, I quess I just don't understand the anger. The person with the most votes wins, at some point there has to be some self reflection on how that happened.
I supported Hillary in 08. She lost fair and square, I know both sides tried to blame some conspiracy of evil idiots on the winning side for the loss but really I figured more democrats wanted Obama. He ran a better campaign.
I think Bernie can stay in because he sure has enough money and supporters so maybe the tide will turn. If it does then he'll win.

Do you understand what closed primaries entail? It means a bunch of voters who will be voting in the GE *aren't allowed to vote* in your freaking primary.

Sanders has huge independent support. Guess who's *not* allowed to vote in closed primaries unless they switch their registration? Which some of them did and some were unwilling to do before the party showed it deserved their membership (which a party with an establishment nearly uniformly favoring Clinton and rigging things in her favor doesn't qualify as) or just didn't realize they had to do in time for the deadline.

So your party ends up making decisions about who it should nominate based on an unrepresentative sample of voters. Which makes for bad decision making if your criteria is electability.

All Of Which I Already Said. So I repeat... reading comprehension.

If you win big in a MINORITY of the population, but LOSE big (as Hillary does in all the polls) in the other part of the population . .. that means you LOSE.
Bernie wins OK in the Democrats and wins big in the others.
Pretty simple if you give it even a little thought.

we Bernie supporters would happily tout that his support came from liberals while Hillary's support came from moderates and conservatives who voted in our primary but aren't 'real' Democrats.

Ideally you would like to see a Democratic primary candidate winning among the party base - declared Democratic voters - AND among crossover voters. Any candidate in the GE needs to attract independents in order to win but a big turnout from the party base is necessary too. Unfortunately, Trump seems to be the only one right now who seems to be doing that. (Perhaps that is not true since I don't know the breakdown of his support from 'real' republicans vs from crossover Democrats and independents.)

I think Bernie is better for our party and our country but I acknowledge the appeal that Hillary is demonstrating with our base. Nor do I believe that she is 'republican-lite' just because I prefer someone else. I agree with Bernie about 98% of the time and with Hillary maybe 90% of the time. Cruz comes in at 0%, Trump 1% (maybe - it seems like he once said something I agreed with though I can't remember what right now ) and Kasich maybe 2%. I prefer my 98% candidate over my 90% one but they both beat the 0%, 1% and 2% boys by a huuuuuuge margin.

I hope Bernie stands tall all the way.
