Democrats remember that at 12:20 a.m., the IT specialist contracted to tabulate Ohio's results, Michael Connell, found 300,000 votes that sealed the deal on Bush's second term.

Mr. Connell was later subpoenaed to testify in a federal lawsuit filed against Ohio Secretary of State Kenneth J. Blackwell. Testimony in the case included a discussion of the probability of Ohio's vote being subject to a “man in the middle” attack. Michael Connell was an experienced pilot, in a plane that had been recently serviced, when he crashed three miles short of the runway in Akron, Ohio on December 22, 2008.
