(8,791 posts)than solid Dem. A lot of GOP states are solid GOP.
Dems have a lot more states to defend. I think HRC can do it tho.
DCBob
(24,689 posts)The GOP has a narrower path.

(800 posts)if Trump doesn't get it you could have a completely unexpected opponent after months of preparing for Trump.
DCBob
(24,689 posts)It could be a factor.

(15,512 posts)That's one place the Clintons know how to win...
DCBob
(24,689 posts)It would be nice but we dont need it.
ucrdem
(15,512 posts)and for that reason I think it's worth the effort. I've noticed that when the Clintons really think they need a win, they call in favors and get it. And AK would probably not be that hard for them.
p.s. meaning they get their surrogates out to beat the drum.
Anyway this is interesting
DCBob
(24,689 posts)you may be right about that.

(9,314 posts)Tennessee was a mini-Florida with much of the same type of election tampering going on. It was unbelievable.

(24,689 posts)That I will bet the farm on. Besides the farm wont be worth a dime if Trump somehow wins.

(62,276 posts)And he backs the Stop Trump movement openly and publicly.
I think he, like a good 30% of conservative (moderate, pragmatic) Republicans won't vote for him.
DCBob
(24,689 posts)He doesn't mention it on his website.

(62,276 posts)Read the blog: http://www.electionprojection.com/stop-trump-o-meter/
His About Me doesn't mention his conservatism explicitly (though just reading it is pretty clear): http://www.electionprojection.com/blogging-caesar/
But his Twitter does: https://twitter.com/bloggingcaesar
Not saying there's anything wrong with linking him here, he does projections like 538 (attempts to be neutral), just like electoral-vote.com (very liberal, very pro-Dem), and he called 2012 for Obama, while the Republicans were deskewing polls. He's just a conservative projector which appeals to the right wing.
I just think it's fascinating that he, a conservative, is terrified of Trump getting the nomination. Trump has a very low ceiling, which I think is like 40%, he's so screwed.
DCBob
(24,689 posts)His projection is same as mine with the exception of Colorado.

(28,270 posts)Trump is a dangerous unprincipled demagogue.
When the facts about this asshole are made clear in the fall only teabaggers will be voting for him
DCBob
(24,689 posts)Trump has definitely defied all logic so far but the general is much different animal than the GOP primary.
Persondem
(1,936 posts)Trump. Of course that would likely cause him to go rogue, run independent, and make it an even bigger Dem win.
I am hoping that TX can lose the dark red. With Trump bringing out the opposition Latino vote, the state could well tilt leftward enough to make such a difference.
DCBob
(24,689 posts)This demonstrates that is a false narrative.
