It is a violation, we are dealing with thugs. Stand strong, get them back in a positive way. Post another sign, laugh at them for causing another donation and grease the new sign.

what i might do, is get about three of them - it's a fairly long expanse of grass. then put one directly in front of the romney sign and the other two a little ways away.

then maybe massage them all with, say, motor oil. maybe leave a note assuring the fucking thief that every sign they steal results in another donation to the obama campaign.

I know what you mean. I live in Arizona, and I assume that you do not. Out here, I am surrounded by them. I have to listen to them when I watch the local news, I have to listen to them on elevators, but I am getting better at not biting my tongue. As I am sure a lot of us know, it is not just a difference in ideology; they tend to be factually misinformed. So I urinate on the opposition's campaign sings locally. I was only caught one time (I believe that I was urinating on Rick Renzi) and they were not willing to arrest me until I indicated that I would do it again. I am a reasonable man, as I am sure all of you are reasonable people. On the other hand, I do not want to be the liberal that they see in their mind's eye. The passive guy that wants to reason with them is perceived as the week guy from whom they should not expect reprisal. I used to be the person that they wish they could be, but I was never that passive guy. I used to be a Marine and there is nothing they can tell me. So you keep doing what you are doing; be reasonable, just, use sound judgement, rely on facts, be careful when arguing with fools, etc. I will be out here pissing on signs for you.

Thank you, and I feel your pain. I was stationed in Cherry Point (Havelock NC) and your struggle with low info assholes is duly noted. I did meet a few good people while i was out there, I must say. There are even good people here in AZ. I just try to be one of them.
