UConn/Courant Poll has Obama leading by 14 in Connecticut

The UConn/Courant Poll also showed that President Barack Obama leads Republican Mitt Romney by 51 percent to 37 percent in Connecticut.

good to see, earlier in this season I found CT polls too close for comfort. The last couple have had Obama in solid double digits.

I think this is 2 polls in a row now showing Obama in double digits in CT compared to some of the previous polls showing him in single digits.

He wasn't in danger of losing the state or anything, but it was looking like it would be a much narrower victory than 2008.

Here's what's most interesting about this week's Connecticut polls: they have shown an increase for Obama compared to the previous month despite the fact that Obama still has mediocre numbers Nationally, particularly in Rasmussen & Gallup.

This could be evidence that the National polls are underestimating Obama's level of support.
