Not seeing anything in our polls tonight to suggest a big shift back toward Obama- think things will go on similar to how they have been
Monday's debate will decide the election I expect Robbedme and The president to bring, and I expect the President to slug this lying sack of shit in the face. Metaphorically of course.

(13,190 posts)It was at least 5 days after the first debate that we saw Romney gain in the polls WTF!! is up with PPP they should know better

(26,044 posts)Remember, last Friday night, they tweeted that their Ohio polling wasn't going very well for Obama, only to reverse themselves in a secont tweet the following afternoon -- that evening, the actual results had O+5.
IMHO, they should either release more-detailed info on each day's polling (not limited to 140 characters) or STFU until they actually release the final results.

(1,134 posts)if I'm not mistaken so it's not a big deal...who cares if it's +2 or +6 as long as he is till ahead. Especially in IA.

(24,411 posts)or has PPP reported new results in IA?
Very curious.

(1,033 posts)Does that mean a close race with Obama ahead slightly or does that mean Romney will continue making gains?

(33,497 posts)in their last polls by 5-6 points. If he's leading in all three even by 2 or 3 points I'll be happy.

(33,497 posts)"think things will go on similar to how they have been"--If things are similar to what they were in there last poll Obama led in CO, IA & NM by 5-6 points.

(24,689 posts)Obama is still in the driver's seat with leads in most of the key toss ups. As long as the debate is not seen as a big win for Romney, it wont have any impact. If things continue as they are now Obama wins this... fairly comfortably by at least 50 EC vote margin.

(26,044 posts)It's on foreign policy, which is a real snooze-fest for most voters unless we're currently at war (with regular American casualties or where the U.S. itself is directly at risk). Plus, I think most voters concede Obama the lead on foreign matters, so much so that the only way I see that debate having any effect is if the President turns in an even worse performance than in Denver.

(26,044 posts)They don't measure RVs at all -- instead, their polling call tells respondents to hang up if they're not planning on voting in this election.

(11,229 posts)Which means the results they are seeing are less than 24 hours post debate.
I don't think that's enough time to be seeing any major move. I agree with Nate, we won't be seeing any evidence of an Obama bump for a few more days. This weekend at the earliest.
