Ann Romney: Mitt Will Not Run Again If He Loses

"WASHINGTON — Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's wife says her husband will not run again if this race doesn't turn out the way they hope.

"Ann Romney told ABC's "The View" Thursday that it was "a very hard thing" to put her family through another White House bid after he lost the 2008 Republican primary. She said she agreed because she feels her husband can bring economic prosperity to America, but they "absolutely" will not do it again if he loses.

"Also appearing was the Romneys' son Josh, who was asked about brother Tagg's joke after this week's contentious debate that he wanted to "take a swing at" President Barack Obama. Josh Romney said as someone who's been slugged by Tagg, he can assure Obama he has nothing to worry about."

Someone as wealthy as he is could've just lived life in blissful anonymity, stealing peoples' money without anyone ever knowing about it. It tells you how greedy he is that all the wealth he's amassed still isn't enough. He needs to be president so he can cut his own taxes and deregulate industries that will allow him to steal even more. GOP: Greedy Old Pricks

just think about Mitt running in the 2016 GOP primaries after losing in 2012. It is a comical thought.

For the entire clan to just GO AWAY. I'm tired of seeing their haughty faces on my TV, as well as listening to them.

Josh Romney looks even meaner and nastier than his father, and that's saying a lot. I hope he just disappears from public life after the election, too, but I suspect that he will simply see himself as the next "chosen one."

he will be disgraced, just like McCain (who was a very bitter loser).

I doubt that Romney will even call the President to congratulate him on winning.
Or if he does, he slip in a snide remark. And I hope the President LAUGHS at him.

We all know DAMN well that Mittens would run again if the GOP would let him. Alas for him, you and the rest of your vile clan, you will be Mormons non grata at the Republican table in 2016.

Lady Kolob will be spending 2016 watching her pathetic husband riding up and down in the car elevator while he weeps into his magic undershirt.

I just caught part of this sit down with the ladies of the view and it seems to me she said something about Mitt being in a hospital in France because of the apparent break between them. Is this a fact or was that some sort of joke? If it was fact then what kind of hospital was it? A mental hospital? Did he have some sort of breakdown?

This needs to be investigated further.

On edit: I see in 1968 Rmoney was in a fatal auto accident in France where he was the driver (found not to be at fault) and one of his passengers died.

This does not seem to me to be what Ann was talking about. She seemed to be referring to their break being so hard on him that he needed hospitalization.

Link to "The View" statement at about 2:00 mins. [link:http://abc.go.com/watch/clip/the-view/SH002253950000/PL5554876/VD55240513/ann-romney-on-her-family/moments |

Someone posted an article on DU, in the General Discussion on Monday.

It was about Romney's draft deferment.

The article was fairly technical and went over my head. Written by someone who understood the ins and outs of Selective Services.

If I can find the article, I'll provide a link.

What a stupid comment. Losing Presidential Nominees rarely get the nomination again.

Her most offensive comment today already being talked about online is that she claims Mitt serving as a Missionary in France during Vietnam was the equivalent to being in the military during the War.

I want Sen. Jim Webb (D-VA) to rip Romney again for that.
