The latest attack - 'Bernie's a grifter so stop sending money'

Suddenly everywhere you look blogs and posts are proclaiming "the money Bernie has raised isn't translating into votes, so what's it really for?!?". Obviously, the idea behind this latest sick fuckery is to make you believe Bernie knows he's going to lose, so he's bilking you on the way out the door. What motivates this kind of desperation? I thought these folks were winning.

If the money ISN'T translating into votes for Bernie, then why would his opponent ... ANY opponent ... waste energy and money bothering to attack him? Wouldn't it be more efficient to just let him spin his wheels, so to speak? If anything, this indicates the exact OPPOSITE ... that it is working and the opponent needs to take any and all measures to stop the constant flow of incoming money.

Ask for $27 donations, you're a grifter. Demand $2700 donations, you're a Really Effective Fundraiser.

I think asking for $225,000 "donations" -- paid directly to the candidate's bank account -- qualifies you for something else altogether, but we needn't bother going into that.
