If they have convertibles, they drive around with their tops down.

Seeing as it rains 66 percent of the time at this time of year. You know, good jackets, umbrellas, that kind of thing.

smh.

Are you suggesting they're stupid with this apropos of nothing remark?

If they have convertibles, they drive around with their tops down.

Besides, it's an INDOOR event. It's not like they have to stand in the rain to hear the guy talk.

Standing in the rain isn't a thing, any more than driving a convertible exposed to the rain is.

They are standing in the rain for Bernie....Hell, Hillary can barely draw a crowd in good weather.

It rained a lot at certain times of the year. You dressed for the weather--a quality raincoat, an umbrella and/or hat. You didn't "not" wait at the bus stop, or go to the store and shop for food, or go to the doctor, or go "stand in line" for a movie ticket or a concert, if it happened to be raining.

You didn't stay home if the clouds opened up.

So, sorry--in my experience, if you live in a rainy climate, standing in the rain, the same way you would if it happened to be sunny, is just a thing. It's not some kind of huge sacrifice. At worst, it's an annoyance you prepare for, because you know how to do that.
