Gary Johnson gets 4% when he's included in Colorado, takes more from Romney, pushing Obama lead to 49/44:

(2,711 posts)That Johnson was pulling from O at a rate of 3:2 over R.

(44,973 posts)Since Obama lead is increased when he is included.

(2,711 posts)Perhaps that stats were "massaged" or made up to fit the situation as it was in the middle of a flame war over whether DU'ers should be supporting a Johnson candidacy.

(44,973 posts)it does appear he is not helping Romney. I am guessing his is pulling white males away from Romney.

(2,711 posts)What I would really like to see is the R party dissolved so that the D party can itself splinter into more voices from the left.
Haven't they promised us that if they can't win this election they have no business being in the business? LOL.
I am in favor of more options, and more voting regardless of which parties.

(2,921 posts)My Paulite neighbor across the street that has his Ron Paul sign up forever briefly had Rmoney & Rlyin sign up then it disappeared the other day after the debate.
My guess is they didn't buy Rmoney's bullshit.
I'm seeing more Rmoney signs taken down - my guess is they'll go Liberterian instead of Rmoney - and that costs Rmoney votes, and Paulites are still not happy with the GOP.
This is in Colorado

(17,863 posts)If Obama loses OH, NC, VA, and FL he would have to pull all the remaining states including Colorado. Colorado can substitute for a loss in Iowa or Wisconsin, but you still need to get Ohio.
All roads lead through Ohio.

(320 posts)I know a couple of people who voted for Obama in 2008 who are voting for Johnson this time round, but I do still think Johnson will pull more from the Repubs. CO has a very strong libertarian streak, as well as a decent chunk of social moderate fiscal conservative Repubs. (Witness the resounding defeat things like the Personhood amendments have had the last few times they've been on the ballot, and the good chance that we'll legalize marijuana this election). I would guess a lot of them will vote for Johnson.

(24,135 posts)I worry about some of our youth here in Colorado, who I hear say all the time, "voting doesn't matter" "Obama hasn't done shit" they will vote for Amendment 64, and then choose Rosanne Barr, or Gary Johnson and Romney will win.

(801 posts)And for some congressional districts there were no dems on the ballot so I voted for libertarians for the most part.
