(5,008 posts)Started college in the Fall. He registered to vote on move in day ( end of August) but never received his voter card. I checked online and a form was never submitted. He filled out the form again and hand delivered it. Good thing we checked on it. I wonder how many other students will show up and not be able to vote. I wonder if he is the only one that did not get their card or if there are other students that had this problem.

(16,254 posts)I hope they continue to investigate this, as well as the Obama team, to find out who owns the company and who was paid to do this. They have to pay their help. The Dems get volunteers...the American way.
I'm also afraid of the machines.

(3,495 posts)Repubs have been throwing away Dem registrations for years. I remember this happening back when I was in college. It was a registration run by the local Republican party and someone found about six registration forms filled out by Dems in the trash. Lesson: If you're going to trust someone else to register you make sure they're motivated to actually do it.
