2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumIt's a good night to be a Bernie supporter
Win 3 states and watch the momentum build. But honestly, the one of the most satisfying parts of tonight is watching some of the Hillary supporters on this board freak out. Some post how Bernie's wins tonight are meaningless, some post ridiculous accusations about him, while others try to divert the conversation. Yep, tonight was a good night.

(115,847 posts)with some of the Hillary supporters - why some comments are so irrationally angry - is that Hillary was assumed to have had the nomination in the bag a year ago, and now it's not. She still has the advantage but Bernie's popularity has to have been a big surprise, and the nomination is not assured. Her supporters are angry because it's a lot more painful to see something possibly being taken away from you that you thought was definitely yours, than it is to lose something that you always knew you could lose.

(13,776 posts)And it explains a lot about the intensity of the negative response to Bernie's wins, even though (so far) they don't add up to as much as Hillary's. Any threat to a sure thing has got to feel uncomfortable. That's just human nature.
And in response to the OP: It's ALWAYS a good night to be a Bernie supporter! I'll always be proud to be one

(3,649 posts)First of all, many of the states Bernie has won have had record turnout. Second of all, Washington is the 13th most populous state, Michigan is 10th. Hardly low population states. More will follow. Thanks for your negativity btw. Makes this night even more satisfying.
