What good is HRC's foreign policy experience?

If you start as a hawk, you can never be anything BUT a hawk.

If she was to propose that we focus on the only good parts of that experience...humanitarian work in support of women and children in poor countries...I could respect that experience.

No one who wants us to be doing even MORE militarily in the Middle East(and even more "regime change&quot can ever be the author of any progressive change in the world.

We should only use force to defend ourselves from external attack. In this day and age, an age when no war can ever have progressive results for the rest of eternity, when all future foreign wars we will ever involve ourselves in in the future will be wars of "national interest&quot in other words, solely in the interest of corporations).

She needs to remember what she knew in the Sixties...that escalating a war will always bring social change to a stop. And she needs to acknowledge that, short of a threat to our own physical survival, nothing can ever be worth bringing social change to a stop.

And she needs to realize that we are no longer a country that will ONLY elect a president who looks like she is just itching to send in the Marines or the Delta Force or Seal Team Six somewhere.

because "its more efficient" they say to bring down high wages in developed countries by allowing corporations to move their employees around wherever they want and pay them less.

For some reason, people seem to think the four years she spent as SoS was devoted entirely to plotting war, which is completely ludicrous.

A lot of people don't realize how powerful that position is.

What kind of fostering did Hillary do?

what the shenanigans in Honduras were all about:

Why was Zelaya so dangerous to U.S. imperialism? Why did they want him out?

The International Action Center sent a delegation to Honduras with Honduras USA Resistencia not long after the June 2009 coup. Juan Barahona, labor leader and representative of the National Front of the People’s Resistance (FNRP), told the delegation that Zelaya was about to support a major raise in the minimum wage. Others corroborated this, with some saying the raise was 60 percent.

“This infuriated two U.S. companies, Chiquita Brands International (formerly United Fruit) and Dole Food Company,” said John Perkins, author of “The New Confessions of an Economic Hit Man,” in an interview with the website Truthout. The big corporations feared that a rise in Honduras’ minimum wage could spread to other countries in Latin America.

"WASHINGTON (AP) — As secretary of state, Hillary Clinton opened her office to dozens of influential Democratic party fundraisers, former Clinton administration and campaign loyalists, and corporate donors to her family's global charity, according to State Department calendars obtained by The Associated Press.

The woman who would become a 2016 presidential candidate met or spoke by phone with nearly 100 corporate executives, Clinton charity donors and political supporters during her four years at the State Department between 2009 and 2013, records show. Many of those meetings and calls, formally scheduled by her aides, involved heads of companies and organizations that were pursuing business or private interests with the Obama administration at the time, including with the State Department while Clinton was in charge."
