(10,751 posts)...it is anything but a mistake: it a bald-faced lie designed to further their agenda and muddy the waters so there cannot be any debate based on actual, true facts. They know that if you repeat it often enough, people believe it or at least believe there must be some truth to it, else why would so many people spout it?
It's a well-known quirk of our psychology and it is exploited to the max by unscrupulous politicians.
