..............While supporters waited in the standing-room-only fourth-floor space, Clinton began her visit to Western with a tour of the computer numerical control machining program on the first floor. Students told her about what they were learning and about the kinds of jobs they hope to get.

One student spoke about becoming tool and die makers or machinists after finishing the program. Western President Lee Rasch spoke about high-paying job opportunities and the need for skilled labor that business and community partners report.

Clinton asked about the cost of the program. About $3,800 for tuition, plus books and tools, Rasch replied. Clinton asked about the impact of scholarships and financial aid, promising she would increase access to the federal Pell Grant program.

“I’m gonna change that,” she said, after hearing that some students have difficulty getting financial aid. “It’s really counterproductive and discourages a lot of people from getting these skills.”....................

The photo in the newspaper article shows Clinton standing on a stage, holding a microphone, with no indication of how big the crowd might be because of the angle of the photo. About the only place in Wisconsin you could take a photo of church pews full of elderly black ladies is Milwaukee.

3. Why we can't have free college.

Because the cost is $3800, and we can't give that much money to some rich kid. We can't gift $3800 to J. Pierpont Morgan IV to attend Western Technical College and learn to use a computerized milling machine. That would end civilization as we know it. Even if we means tested free college, some rich kids might slip past. Of course, ending the student loan tragedy might piss off some big financial institutions, but I'm sure that never crossed her mind. It's not like they pay her money or anything.

7. Sanders plan for college is to give Govs from Individual states control over the Fed money!!

That leaves --probably the majority of RED states such as WI LEFT BEHIND. Walker would never take the money--He has never taken the money to Expand Medicare--and has dramatically cut the Univ. of WI funding. That is the difference between Sanders and Hillary's plan.

After whipping up the crowd during her rally, touching on hot-button issues such as gun control, the minimum wage and Scott Walker’s tenure as Wisconsin’s’ governor, Clinton stopped at Pearl Street Brewery.

Clinton toured the brewery with owner and founder Joe Katchever, learning how the brewmaster turns grains, hops and yeast into local craft beers. Clinton also got to taste one of the brews, sharing a D.T.B. Brown Ale with Katchever and Tami Plourde, director of sales and marketing.

“Cheers,” she said clinking glasses with Plourde. Later she added, “I love being here in Wisconsin. I just love meeting with people.”
