2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumObama needs to talk up Hillary tomorrow
Hillary Clinton is very popular, not only with women, but with a lot of independents and quite a few men. I think she's been one of the truly great Secretary of States, and I think Obama would be wise to talk up her success in handling our relations, not only in the Middle East, but also with our dealings with other parts of the world. I really hope Obama brings up her name quite a few times tomorrow. I think it will make him seem more humble, will help him connect with women and others, will give Hillary the praise she deserves, and could encourage Hillary to run for President in 2016, when I sure hope we have a woman candidate.

(14,040 posts)Whether President Obama wins or not, she's done with the next term. I agree that she has been a great SoS and she is still popular and any mentions would probably be good but I'd give up hopes that she's running in 2016.

I think he did a great job taking responsibility and pushing back on the accusations flying from the rightwing douchebags.
