Related: About this forumI couldn't imagine for a minute not voting for Bernie if he won the Democratic nomination.
Not even for a second!
Is this even a thing amongst us Democrats?

(68,918 posts)As much as I intend to vote for the Dem nominee, I can see where left-leaning progressive Independents would choose not to. What IS right-wing is choosing to walk lockstep and not question... or even turn against Democratic ideals just to win. To think otherwise would be myopic. We don't get to define others against our own ideals. Its why I would never call Hillary a Republican. This crap needs to stop.

(16,954 posts)these folks, being that Trump is definitely a viable option.
I saw on another website named after a DUer that Thom Hartmann is going under the bus and Trump is getting a close look from some of them. Apparently even Thom Hartmann is not pure enough for some of them anymore. Their world shrinks more and more with each passing day. Hard to even put a finger on it anymore, but the cynicism and negativity from the Sanders' campaign is a complete turnoff. Looks like they are even willing to turn on each other.
Jury: I'm not talking about DUers here. Somewhere else on the internet. Thank you.

(20,709 posts)The thing is, eventually Bernie's gonna end up under the bus too, because he's going to endorse Clinton and campaign for her. And when that happens, all hell's gonna break loose.
One thing that must be pointed out though, is that online "Bernie or Bust" agitators include a fair share of actual right-wingers who are just posing. Most Bernie fans are not of the BoB variety, but the problem is that enough of them are, and the ones that are are vocal and angry enough that it really doesn't take much to egg them on. So I'm not sure if the people throwing Hartmann or anyone else under the bus are actual Bernie fans, or right-wing posers.

(31,700 posts)Bernie Sanders is expanding the Democratic Party to re-include the folks who made up FDR's massively winning coalition.
There aren't enough Democrats for Hillary to tell to toe the line and shut up and vote for her. And she is incapable of expanding the Democratic Party in a positive manner.
So, yeah, Democrats will support her. Her problem is that she gets zero support outside of the Democratic base. Nothing. I've said for almost a year now: People are going to support economic populism or authoritarian populism this election cycle.
Supportwise, Hillary is "the far left" in this election and Sanders is the "moderate". Sanders is the candidate getting the independents that folks who support Hillary said that she would get.
Dump her while we still can. She's a loser and if she succeeds she'll take us all down with her.

(28,270 posts)If Bernie Sanders fails to get the Democratic nomination, Susan Sarandon isnt sure shell vote for Hillary Clinton. She even said Monday that Trump could be the better option.
