(94,727 posts)The bulk of GE voters don't participate in the Primary process...this will all be knew to them.
So will the "massive tax increases on everyone" announcement...and the "Expand the Government" announcement.

Dragonfli
(10,622 posts)All that means is favoring things like public highways, SS, firefighters ect. Even Republicans like those things, such an attack will fall flat.
Hillary on the other hand has miles and miles of pretty files to investigate and tarnish her with.
Some are even quite fresh and true. Republicans hate her so deeply that they will set records just for an opportunity to vote against her (and in the process lose us down ticket races).
A vote for Hillary is a vote for millennials and independents to stay home or vote Republican as well as a vote to help elect a Republican to the WH and in many down ticket races.
brooklynite
(94,727 posts)...the Republicans will call him a Socialist, and if he spends his time saying "no, I'm a DEMOCRATIC Socialist" he's already lost.

(10,622 posts)How soon we forget I suppose. Being wealthy I understand why you like lower taxes at our expense and why you support Clinton, it makes sense to vote your pocketbook, what I dislike is how the wealth of many appears linked now to the ever increasing poverty of the bulk of us. I will just chalk that up to a lack of empathy on the part of those that are wealthy like yourself.

(2,353 posts)I can't believe Hillarians were gleefully spreading that right wing smear that he was abusive to his wife. We won't soon forget that if you end up needing our support in November.

(47,209 posts)But mostly raising taxes on the middle class.
That's going to kill him.
Dragonfli
(10,622 posts)but there aren't as many in such an unfortunately low income bracket as you appear to think, and the added increase will only be a few dollars, unless you are like a millionaire or something.
If you believe she will support the congress as they are, and therefore get more support than him from them, I suppose we should just vote Republican anyway as those are the policies you are talking about.
Come on, get out of the closet, you hate taxes on the rich and favor Republican policies, register as one already and end the suppression of your true self.
bettyellen
(47,209 posts)I happen to think such nonsense does more to suppress the vote than Repulicans do.
Shameful lies.
Waiting for accurate calculators from Bernie for the tax increases. He should have put that info out already.
Dragonfli
(10,622 posts)"Lack of support from the senate and congress..." as a negative for Sanders but a positive for Clinton.
You are the one saying she will be simpatico with the R's that represent the bulk of congress. Not me. Just stop doing that if you don't like it.

Context, it's what's for dinner, taking things out of context, is what comes out the back end after dinner.

(10,622 posts)Your tactical evasions and deliberate mis-truths are becoming so damn transparent and tiresome (much like Clinton herself)

Now, what else are you going to attack him on; that he wants to take back money from rich and give it to the rest of us?
DanTex
(20,709 posts)I just don't see him holding up to a barrage of ads about his socialism, his massive tax increases, his defense of Castro, honeymoon in USSR, all that. And, no the GOP isn't going to be "fair" with their ads, and they aren't going to care if some DUer accuses them of "red-baiting."
Bernie's gotten a free pass, but that would end quickly.
Dawgs
(14,755 posts)And, those things that you think will hurt him won't mean thing.
People don't care about attacks in this cycle. They care about authenticity. It's why he does so much better with Indys than Hillary.
DanTex
(20,709 posts)When the GOP blasts all that all over the TV, those numbers will start to turn. You might not have a problem with socialism, but a huge number of people do. There are polls about it.
Of course, we're never going to find out, because Hillary's gonna win the nominee, but I don't think it would be pretty.

(45,251 posts)Sanders and his supporters brag all the time about all the money he has raised-but he refuses to share it with other Democrats. Sanders and his supporters were against super delegates before they were for them. Tell me.. do you think Sanders will remain a Democrat after he loses to Hillary? I doubt it. He used the Democratic infrastructure and resources but refuses to help the down tickets. He had to return some campaign funds and no one is talking about that. And some of the funds were well over $27-that's another myth-$27-yea right.

(45,251 posts)Not only has she used race, religion, gender and national origin, but she even put McCain above Obama. She has campaign against her fellow Democrats lower than I can recall in any primary in modern times that I've lived through or read about.
